Territori Ibiza is an international gathering specialized in performance art, holding its 4th edition this year with performances by artists from the Balearic Islands, Spain, and abroad. It will take place from September 15th to 24th in Ibiza, with a diverse program of activities in various locations across the island.
This event brings together artists from all over the world with diverse backgrounds who work with the body, live arts, and action. Performance art offers a unique experience that connects the audience with artists through the body and within a specific context linked to the territory.
The objective of the project is to create a creative space to provide visibility to artists from all the Balearic Islands, boosting their careers and showcasing their work. In 2023, we will have the participation of Joanna Hruby (Ibiza), David Novell (Ibiza), Dihue Miguens (Ibiza), Alejandro Fuster Guillen (Mallorca), Kaori Ishihara (Menorca), and Mariana Mazzarino (Formentera). This selection of artists is made through the Balearic Open Call, under the theme "Mediterrani," for which 23 proposals were submitted, all reflecting a clear sensitivity towards this ecosystem.
Under the theme "Roots and Avant-garde," this edition aims to highlight the context in which it takes place: Ibiza, its people, nature, cultural fabric, heritage, and local identity.
Some of the national and international artists participating in this edition of Territori are: Roi Vaara (Finland), Nieves Correa (Spain), Flávio Rodrígues (Portugal), Sarah Trouche (France), Marina Barsy x Isil Sol Vil (Puerto Rico-Catalonia), Alicia Maravillas (Spain), and Juan Alemán (Spain).
As a sponsor of the festival, Ryans supports local initiatives to help Ibiza artists promote themselves nationally and internationally, becoming the best ambassadors for the island.
The program includes 10 days of immersion with professional sessions, mentorships, documentaries, talks, exhibitions, and workshops.
